Strengths, Talk & Walk Therapy & Exploring Dublin - Saturday, August 6, 2016

Today started off with very interesting presentations from our own Dr. Michel, where we covered information about strengths based counseling and even discussed some of our own strengths.  Our second presentation of the day was with Phil Gormley.  Phil is a professional counselor here in Dublin and provided us with some interesting insight about his experience within the field, which was interesting to compare and contrast with the profession in America.  Phil also provided us all some information on walk and talk therapy that he uses with some of his clients.
After the two presentations, the group was allotted some well deserved free time to explore this wonderful city. Some members of the group took this opportunity to tour the famed Guinness factory here in Dublin. The highlights included: learning about the brewing process, enjoying the incredible 360 degree viewing in the Gravity Bar located on top of the factory, and of course, learning how to pour the perfect pint.

Some of the other uses of free time included: enjoying a local play in Dublin, wandering the streets, exploring the shops and restaurants, having a night out at the Temple Bar area in downtown Dublin, and enjoying a nice nap.

We are all looking forward to seeing what the rest of this opportunity can bring us in this wonderful city!
